Story

The Lost Ones were originally called the Xennumet and have been on Telon since time immemorial. I have existed for aeons and yet i was not created until the decline of the Xenno Empire.

-The Xennu Empire?

Animus says, The Xennumet mastered the use of magic before those of your kind mastered the use of fire. The Xennu Empire was born when they found was to synthesize magical energy in mechanical and crystal objects, allowing them to teleport and communicate over long distances.

-Where are these ojects now?

Animus says, Cease your babbling and you may yet learn! You must understand that the Xennumet are not like the current sentient ihabitants of Telon. As the Empire advanced its holding and conquered the uncharted lands, their technology grew more and more sophisticated. Eventually their communication crystals had become indistinguishable from instantaneous telepathy.

-Who governed the Xennu Empire?

Animus says, While no single Xennu governend the Empire, they did have an "All-Father", an immensely powerful Xennu who served as a nexus point for the entire species communications. The Xennumet developed into a hive mind, a collective consciousness. Any action that benefited the Emprie was instantaneously and efficiently performed by the Xennu collective.

They would have easily conquesred all of Telon and suppressed the development of all the modern races if not for the Cataclysm.

-Could the All-Father and their technology not protect them from such a thing?

Indeed their technology should have proven sufficient to prevent damage to the Xennu Empires holdings. However the Cataclysm caused unforeseen magical vibrations that shattered the crystal transmitters that were now a part of every Xennus body.

-What happened to the Xennu?

Indeed, their technology should have proven sufficient to prevent damage to the Xennu Empires holdings. However, the Cataclysm caused unforeseen magical vibrations that shattered the crystal transmitters that were now a part of every Xennus body.

Animus says, most Xennu fell dead on the spot. Others who survived went mad because of their severance from the collective. Onlz a very few survived intact, but with the decimation of the Xennu Empire, the survivors decided to entomb themselves deep in Telons underbelly awaiting a new age in wich they could once again reign supreme. I, Animus was the last guardian of the gateway to the underground lair of the Xennumet. I was removed from my watch by a Cataclysm-induced tidal wave shortly thereafter.
